Welcome NEW Sage Spa Therapists

 

Megan hails from Boston. Since graduating from the Swedish Institute College of Health in Manhattan, she worked primarily with a chiropractor doing therapeutic massage. When a holistic job in a wellness setting dedicated to health and well being opened up, she applied. We're glad to have her onboard here at Sage Spa. 

 

 

 

Noriko is a seasoned massage therapist, with more than eighteen years experience. Originally from Tokyo, Japan, Noriko has experience in both spa and pain management settings. Now relocated to New York City,  Noriko, a Swedish Institute College of Health graduate, says she is looking to develop her professional, ethical, client-centered, therapeutic massage career, one where she can provide excellent client care. She is a delight; we are please to welcome her to our team.   

 

 

Lucky Girl

It's a baby girl.  Congratulations to Karen (Sage therapist) and her husband, Jim, who recently adopted darling baby Shawn.  All of us at Sage Spa wish them the very best.

 Here at Sage Spa, we receive many appreciative notes from clients, but now and then someone sends us a note that makes us stop and smile. Invariably that note is addressed not to a particular individual but to our TEAM and STAFF. 

Team and Staff: two simple, but powerful words, signifying a strong weld, a single entity, disparate threads woven tightly into fabric, binding collective passions, empathy, talents, and voices into a single note.  

It is written of teamwork:  "Individually we are one drop. Together we are an ocean." When it works, teamwork transcends individuals elevating the common experience like a boat on the ocean's tide,  filling the space with joy, passion, and in the case of a particular spa, trust and peace.

Goodbye Richard

Sadly, we must say goodbye to Richard. Today is Richard's last day here at Sage Spa.  

Richard has decided to move west to Santa Fe. He is one of our senior staff therapists, someone who has been with us from the early days. There are many things we will miss when he leaves: his wisdom, experience, generosity, his fascination with numerology, his ease on a piano, those expert deep tissue massages ( which were lauded as one of the best deep tissue massages in New York City) and of course, his gentle smile and kind heart.  

Safe journey Richard. May happiness & joy surround you wherever you go.

Jessie

Perinatal Birth & Labor LMT

One of our most popular Sage therapists is back- at least part-time filling in for our other staff therapists when they can't be here for one reason or another. Jessie plans to work part-time at Sage while attending law school. Can you believe it? She finally made it into law school! (We pity the poor lawyer who has to go head to head with Jessie in a courtroom.) 

All in all, we couldn't be happier or more proud that she's back. We suspect that some of Jessie's former Sage clients will be thrilled too.
